Alfie Jones

Alfie Jones

We first met Alfie Jones when he came to one of our Singarounds.

It was clear that he was a great singer and guitarist (he did a lovely version of Blackwaterside) but it wasn’t until later when we were chatting at the bar that we discovered that he was the grandson of Wizz Jones!

He has modestly said that there isn’t much to say about him here, so all we will say is that since then we have seen him sing and play at various local folk events, and each time he has been wonderful – when he sang and played   Annan Water ( a song often associated with Nic Jones) you could have heard a pin drop.

Definitely somebody to watch out for in the future, and not just because of his ancestry!
