We are delighted to be welcoming Martin Simpson back to the Goose!
SORRY THIS CONCERT IS NOW SOLD OUT
Change in Timings
We are sorry to say that Liam Cooper, one of the supports for Friday’s concert, is presently self-isolating due to Covid (he was double jabbed so luckily has it mildly).
This means that we expect the concert to finish around 10.30pm rather than 11pm. The door will open at 7pm and the live music will start at 8pm as usual.
We are sorry for any disappointment, but obviously this was outside our control, with too short notice to find a suitable replacement.
Martin Simpson surely needs no introduction! Equally at home playing English traditional folk, American folk and blues and his own compositions, he is consistently named as one of the very finest fingerstyle guitar players in the world.
Oh, and he sings pretty well too!
Well, we had decided to put all support artists in alphabetical order, but it feels a bit weird putting us first, so we are reversing the alphabet to put Liam first here!
Liam Cooper is a South London based folk singer, performing his own unique arrangements of traditional songs from England, Ireland and elsewhere, with guitar and mandola accompaniment.
Creeping Jane are Nyge and Sue, who have been running the Goose since 2008 and thirteen years (AAAARRRGGGGHHH) later have got onto the stage themselves. With mics. And no accompaniment. AAAAAAARRRRGGGHHHHH again ……
